I came to James at beyond40 with 2/3 of my pancreas missing, all my gallbladder, appendix and spleen missing. I was seriously unfit and unhealthy. I can’t say it was easy and without pain, particularly at the start when we had to have a few heart-to-heart talks and adjust my reality. The session was hard as he had to push me to make the changes as the doctors and my health demanded it. I realised that I had lost a lot of fitness in my 30’s and early 40’s and had not given my health much attention. When I first started with James at Beyond40, what I was most interested in was that he had seen a lot of fat patterns in people and that he knew it was not a one size fits all. I came to beyond40 some years ago quite out of shape and with a number of muscle imbalances. I knew that James was good with older people and that his understanding of the body and its physiology was excellent. After completing my initial foundation program and re-balancing my body I began to enjoy having my body work well again! I love the ease and structure of the training session and that James allows for laughter and life mishaps along the way. I recently hurt my shoulder body surfing and James changed the program accordingly.
